OUR CLIENT

Our client is a manufacturing company headquartered in Cambridge, MA, and is seeking to add a Finance Manager to their business. They are a privately held organization, dedicated to innovation and excellence in their industry. As a key member of their leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of the business unit and contribute to the overall success of the company.

CORE RESPONSIBILTIES

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights to improve financial performance.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.

- Track budget performance and provide recommendations for cost optimization.

Cash Flow Management:

- Manage and forecast cash flow to ensure the financial health of the business unit.

- Implement strategies to optimize working capital and liquidity.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact financial operations.

Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

- Work closely with external auditors during periodic audits.

Process Improvement:

- Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Implement best practices to improve overall financial operations.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

-Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

-Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.

-Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This is a sole contributor position reporting directly to the Head of the Business Unit. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to influence financial strategy and contribute to the continued success of our privately held company.
